Switchboard maintenance
Conducting general switchboard maintenance to ensure electrical continuity and condition is suggested.
It is also recommended to conduct thermal scanning of electrical equipment at the same time.
Typically, things such as:
- Mechanical damage of components and wiring
- Termination checks (often identifies potential loose connections);
- Random junction-box and terminal checks
- Unfastened relay timers;
- Apparatus reaching the end of its life-cycle;
- Bad sealing and water ingress;
- Signs of corrosion;
- Housekeeping; and
- General check & clean, highlight areas for potential faults.
